Amai Le Pain 2.0!

AMAI LE PAIN 2.0

The Beer Born from Bread

After first launching Amai Le Pain with JANINE in April 2024, we’re back two years later with a refreshed and even better brew.

We’re always looking for meaningful ways to create better experiences for our guests while making a positive impact behind the scenes. That’s why we’re proud to introduce the newest version of Amai Le Pain, a unique craft beer brewed from leftover bread sourced directly from the restaurants of participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Belgium.

Created in collaboration with Belgian brewer and boulangerie JANINE, Amai Le Pain transforms surplus bread into a refreshing, fruity beer designed to be enjoyed during your stay with us. What might once have gone to waste has been given a second life!

Brewing with Purpose

Food waste remains one of the hospitality industry’s biggest challenges, and bread is among the most commonly wasted products worldwide. With Amai Le Pain, we wanted to take a small but meaningful step toward changing that narrative. The initiative is rooted in circular thinking: taking something overlooked and transforming it into something guests can genuinely enjoy. It also allows us to celebrate local craftsmanship, creativity, and collaboration across our hotel community in Belgium.

Just 20kg of leftover bread can be transformed into up to 2,000L of bread beer. All surplus bread is exclusively sourced from participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels across Belgium.

Did you know ? ...

Amai is a common Flemish expression and catch phrase, used when expressing someone is amazed or surprised. It can also be translated as ‘WOW’.

Le Pain is the meaning of bread in French. So when we combine these words, it means 'Wow the bread' referring to the transformation the bread made into an easy drinkable beer.

We hope you enjoy Amai Le Pain as much as we enjoyed crafting it. Cheers!
